Kke4801753 on Mar 16, 2016I just redid my vanity counter and I LOVE it! I did mine over s smooth surface however if you sand down what you have and get a self leveling patch concrete I think it would totally work! And it would leave a really unique "custom" look! Good luck!!Helpful Reply

Tom Templeton on Mar 16, 2016I would recommend putting the forms back around it with about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch high lip above the highest point and using a simple self leveling "float coat". When it is fully cured it can be polished (stained if you like) and waxed. It should look great.Helpful Reply

Jamal on Mar 16, 2016I prefer to fix steel angle with all edges(5*5) cm. then casting the area by filling screed concrete with (SBR) chemical additions to make fair face you can also paint them as you like.Helpful Reply

Louis Lieberman on Mar 17, 2016i live in israel and i suspect things are done differently here but i'll give u a suggestion-u need to put on a tin layer of thinned cement(extra water)& then smooth it with a board-did u ever see how smooth cement steps are-it's also a good idea to score the old cement eith a heavy duty knife for better adhesion-good luckHelpful Reply

Nancy Tan Yao on Mar 17, 2016There is a special kind of cement u can apply over the rough surface. It will give it a smoother surface & shine. U can apply sealant after or u can wax it too.Helpful Reply
