What to Do With Used Cardboard?

Every time I want to throw a box into the paper recycle bin, I've got to cut the cardboard into pieces or crush it to make it smaller. And doing that made me feel kind of 'ashamed'. Yes, I know that sounds strange, but I just felt a need to do something more useful with it.
So after posting amazing upcycle design using cardboard on my blog upcycleDZINE, I wanted to give it a go myself.
After my first design called BoxCrown, I now created this upcycle design lampshade called 'BoxCrown'. Still a prototype and entirely made by hand. No electrical machine were used. I used a fretsaw which is designed to make very fine and delicate cuts. This endproduct [prototype] shows rough edges, but it also shows the design I had in mind.
