What a terrific project for old outdated not so safe anymore cribs. I see them for free on FB all the time. Hubby and I are sitting here going...We Should Do That. So I think we will. You are an inspiration!

I love repurposing things.. This is so clever... it could be whimsical or classy depending on where it's used and how it's painted.... Very smart!!!!

Wow! That is amazing. We have an old crib I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out a way to repurpose it in a useful way, and this is perfect!

This is a great idea for all those cribs that don't pass regulations anymore.

What a great idea. With all of the older cribs now being deemed not safe for infants, one could be bought used very cheap I would think.

Thanks guys!! You could probably get one for free! This one was given to me. You can't sell (or are not supposed to) them on CL if they aren't regulation. Easy thing to redo!!

Correct Jill W, I am a store owner (now closed), you cannot sell or even give them away without risking fines of $50K and or imprisonment. I still have three left in our old inventory that I was not able to sell before the ban when parents could make the drop-side non-functional. I think I am going to make myself a craft desk, the grandkids a 'creative space' both for their room in our home as well as their room in their home!
