What to do about the cats under my porch?

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Mar 18, 2016/the best alternative is to close the area in with lattice to keep the cats out. If you use some sort of pet/animal deterrent you will have to keep reapplying. I would use a leaf rake and try to rake and scoop it up. I would spread lime down to help eliminate odors too. The area has been marked so you will need to neutralize the area and lime can do the trick. good luckHelpful Reply

Janet Pizaro on Mar 18, 2016Try cleaning the area up and then apply a citrus scent of sort.Cats do not like the smell .It is a deterrant but will have to be applied repeatedly.Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Mar 19, 2016Cleaning the area would be great if you can access the area under your porch. If you can't, I would enclose the area with a decorative lattice or even chicken wire or garden wire fencing...anything the cats can't get through. If they aren't your cats, you can also try to live trap and release them or bring them to their owners...if they are yours, provide an outdoor potty area in a spot away from the porch.Helpful Reply
