Get your Glue Guns ready and pick up a few packs of plastic Easter eggs Because this door wreath is easy and fun. On the same trip to our local get what you want for a $ store where I got the supplies for Wednesdays Door/Wall Decor I also picked up a few things to make a Door Wreath for Easter. (Is anyone else having a hard time with Easter being so close to St. Patrick's Day this year?) I did not want to spend a lot of money on a door decoration that would be up for 2 weeks so the $ place was a great idea.
The beauty of this craft is that you can do as much or as little decorating as possible, it's up to you.
Sturdy Wreath form (I used the other half of the St. Patrick's day wreath form) I recommend a more sturdy form for this project. My foam form broke half way through the project and I had to fix it with toothpicks and glue. You can see the cracks in the picture above.
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
Glue or tie your ribbon into the top of your wreath. If you glue the ribbon be sure to secure it to the base and not only the garland. The garlands may not be strong enough to hold the weight of the wreath. If the wreath is quite heavy you may want to forgo the tie and use a wreath hook.
All you have to do now is wait for all of the glue to dry and hang the wreath on the door. For more details go to www.handpartistry.com
