Patricia D on Mar 19, 2012We have the Culligan for our cabin and love it, have had no problems for about 15 years.....it is outside, under the deck and we never have to do a thing to it. It is comparable to a city filtration system just on a much smaller scale.Helpful Reply

Rep C on Mar 19, 2012Culligan International actually has a home solution page-- http://www.culligan.com/SolutionCenter.aspx . You can enter your problem(s), and it'll come up with an assortment of filtration systems to choose from, along with descriptions of each for better understanding. If you have already decided on a no-salt system, just be careful to which one you choose. Many companies promote salt-free devices like magnets and magic beads as alternatives to traditional water softeners. But independent third-party lab tests show many of these products do not deliver the benefits of soft water, nor do they reduce scale and calcium buildup in pipes and appliances; i.e. http://www.culligan.com/saltfree/ . Hope this helps! Feel free to contact me directly at http://www.facebook.com/culligan or @CulliganMan. I'm pretty much online all day!Helpful Reply

EasyWater on Mar 19, 2012Brenda, you might want to try the EasyWater Iron Shield. Iron Shield is salt-free, and made specifically to remove up to 10 ppm of iron. The best part is that it's very low maintenance! http://www.easywater.com/products/iron-shield/Helpful Reply

Brenda R on Apr 14, 2012Rep C - I checked out your link and found the "Culligan High Efficiency Iron-Cleer® Whole House Filter". Based on the description it appears it takes care of both my problems - Iron and Softening. Would that be your conclusion as well? Thanks for everyone's responses.Helpful Reply
