Kimberly Barney on May 20, 2013You can use them to make stenciled art on recycled wood, inexpensive art canvases, grouping of rulers, grouping of paint sticks, pallets. You can purchase wood ornaments to paint for gifts.Helpful Reply

Terri J on May 20, 2013Kimberly, thanks for the answers, but I'm still hoping for more ideas. I have done what you suggested and then some. I am debating over a wall mural, or something else that I haven't done. I like where you are heading though.Helpful Reply

Eileen Bezembinder on May 20, 2013do you have children.. if so... why not a wall with chalkboard (or chalkboard that is magnetic) paint and a mural.... something that they can draw on... after you have made roads buildings with no curtains etc. just my 2 centsHelpful Reply

Terri J on May 21, 2013Eileen - no children and my sister doesn't want anymore paint for the my little nieces. Sia@South 47th - I have drop cloth covering an old, but still functioning couch, dressers, desks, cardboard, antique glasses, chna, - you name it, and it is probably inside. Outside, old beat up shed, wooden carport - that would be cool to do something with, deck- just done, sidewalk, chain link fencing, old chandelier torn apart and using for flower pot, ceramic flower pots, plastic ones, and so on... Does that give you a start? I hope so.Helpful Reply

Terri J on May 21, 2013Sia - I never made it to bed, so I don't know how active I will be tonight. I can't wait to see the ideas coming in either. I can at least collect them though, and then we'll sort them out! I have ideas for the shed, but may just leave it alone for now. I have got to get my camera ready for b4 and after photos.Helpful Reply

Leah Belverd on May 21, 2013Sia is awesome :) I'm curious as well. I have a plethora of acrylics, but always have the concern that they will 'come off' anything other than ceramics or wood (paper of course). So I'd love to take part in this party as well! I think something with the drop cloth would be cool. Is it a plain beigy color?Helpful Reply

Terri J on May 21, 2013Leah - welcome to the party!!! My drop cloth on the couch is beigy color. I understand your concerns about knowing and not knowing what kind of paint to use on what for fear of it being washed or cleaned off. To make it even more difficult now, they have "special paints" for every surface or so it seems I have never used acrylic on cloth before.... wondering and thinking.Helpful Reply

Gracie McDaniel on May 21, 2013Acrylics will stay on cloth... I use acrylics and have "paint classes" with my grandchildren. I just bought new upholestry material for my dining room chairs that have numerous colors on them and can't figure out how in the heck to get bright pink off my beige sofa (I don't know HOW that happened or which one did it lol)...Helpful Reply

Sia@South 47th on May 22, 2013I love drop cloths! DO you like the "Map" look? How about something like this (using whatever colors you want of course) It could go "Abstract"(easy peasy, very arsty), "French Chic" ( with those great Graphics Fairy Graphics that are free), Country, Tone on tone? Here is a pic of the map look, not the best but You could certainly make it awesome : http://froufrugal.blogspot.com/2011/03/settee-big-finish.html. I'm just getting started LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!Helpful Reply

Terri J on May 22, 2013You got it - that is something I was looking for!!!. My couch is already covered in drop cloth, and I was playing around with some things - paint stirrer's to bring nasty lamp back to life. I don't think I could do a whole map - was thinking of a sunset over the island. I have more oranges, red's, violet's, blue -green color's than anything else. Thanks for sending that, and keep coming back, please.Helpful Reply
