    Yes Rose, this is the same plant, the Cherokee Rose is the state flower, the botanical name is Rosa laveigata

    the cherokee rose was founded on the cherokee trail of tears it is dated 1759 i got mine from my grandmother she had it growing along the fence it, i trained mine to grow up my white dogwood so they are single white blooms, blooming at the same time. it gets 20 ft limbs and blooms once a year in the spring, but is worth it.
