Erica Glasener on Apr 09, 2012Yes Rose, this is the same plant, the Cherokee Rose is the state flower, the botanical name is Rosa laveigata

Terry S on Aug 31, 2012the cherokee rose was founded on the cherokee trail of tears it is dated 1759 i got mine from my grandmother she had it growing along the fence it, i trained mine to grow up my white dogwood so they are single white blooms, blooming at the same time. it gets 20 ft limbs and blooms once a year in the spring, but is worth it.
