Using Wire Coat Hangers to Hold Down Garden Fabric

Easy
I know they sell stakes to hold this fabric stuff down, but I had to think about how I could do it without spending more $.
Wire coat hangers, pliers and heavy duty wire cutters
Make staples in different sizes
Double-over the edges while you put the staples in place. Be sure to push them into the ground as flat as possible
Start by only doing the outside edges
Overlap the joining sections, then connect them with staples, going along with the seam
Here's my end product. The staples can be easily removed and reused next year
Just add plants :)

Did the same thing on a very steep very troublesome hill side above a creek. Is still holding! I'm trying to cover the hillside with ground cover so every time I grab another handful of ground cover I just cut a hole in the fabric and plant the ground cover. Also used the same principle to cover another steeper hill with plastic chicken wire.
