Can you grow a pin from seed?

Phyllis, what do you mean by a "pin"? You will get better responses to your question if you post it as a new question using the red button at the top right of the page. That way more people will see it.

Phyllis W , I am not sure what you are asking. Can you elaborate? Are you asking something about the dogwood tree?

Sorry about the typo. I have tried to root the pink dogwood without success. Can one be started from seed?

You need soft wood cuttings taken immediately after bloom, does better in peat/perlite mix vs a sand mix. Put under a mist, may take up to 10 weeks to get any results. (This is from my old book at work, I will check for updated information in my latest ...»
edition when I get home to see if that has any changes. I will update you soon! I am also assuming you have a florida dogwood?

Is the Florida dogwood the only pink one?
    on Feb 02, 2013 · Like 0
  • Donna Dixson Buford, GA
no, but it is the most common of the pink ones. The new Dirr book didn't not offer any additional advice on how to propagate the dogwood tree.
