Recently did my kitchen over... love the look and the feel.. Not a large space but the white cabinets and the new window really open it up.. My "baby Island"...

If only everyone could say their kitchen renovation was a blast! But yours did turn out great, and it will never go out of style.

Why was it such a blast? I'd be happy with the finished product, too. It's lovely. Did you do it yourselves?

Christine, I love to design and decorate and this was a project that gave me that opportunity! Of course there were issues here and there, but nothing is ever going to be perfect 100% We did some of the smaller details ourselves, but overall had professionals. The choice of materials was all mine! Thank you for your comments :)

Congratulations on a successful design. I can fully understand how rewarding that is. Cook, entertain, live and enjoy, you've the very attractive area to do it in.

I love the island is not the same color as the cupboards. Really nice. Have a cozy feeling even through the photo so I can imagine it in person. Nice design work.

Your kitchen is beautiful! I love the wide drawers next to the stove and in the island.

THe island was the same cabinet as the one next to the stove only three inches smaller 33 inches wide and 24 inches deep. It has thick felt pads on the bottom and is movable, (but heavy with the granite). It has a toe kick like the cabinets so it is VIP to have a heavy top or put legs or support in the front so it will not tip when the drawers are open.. I think what is so appealing about my kitchen is that it is not like the huge kitchens that they show that are so unrealistic for the ...»
average person..My kitchen is very affordable and not over the top but clean, workable and attractive. I am going to add a few more views here. Thank you all for your compliments!

    • The sink is a great place to be with the huge window, huge sink and great grohe faucet. 1
    • I added this towel bar to the back of the baby island for my dish towels and it comes in very handy.

I love the large sink- did you have to special order it? Do you know the brand? Your inspiration looks like he feels right at home in the kitchen. :)

My kitchen cost around 20,000.00 complete, but we do have some close friends who are contractors and that helped...I used Kemper Brand cabinets and did shop around... The first price I got for cabinets alone was 4,000.00 more than the price I paid around 9,000.00. I had the hardwood floor installed and all the appliances were already in place except for the free standing electrolux slide in double oven. That was a bit pricey but I love it.

The sink brand was called Kazza and I got it from our granite installer. He got me a great price!

Thanks Tracy, and I love your dog! I had an Irish Setter growing up! Now I primarily adopt, but they always have a special place in my heart :) And a year later I still love my kitchen!
