DIY Pantry

I want melamine shelving with NO brackets that curve ever so smoothly around the corners of my former laundry "closet". Hubby wants the "rails" on the wall with brackets. Which one do we choose? Check out my quandary on which shelving to use for my "new" pantry! http://www.the-byrds-nest.net/diy-new-pantry-shelving/

Why could you not use one inch molding strips putting 3 together to enclose the rails? They then could be painted the color of the wall. Or a easier, less expensive method would be to use Styrofoam hollowed out to accommodate these rails, glued on and painted in wall color. Paint the under shelf brackets the wall color also.
