Who knew..... a pool noodle can be more than just a floating device, it also makes an awesome headrest for a puppy's bed.
We made this one for my daughter's little dog Lulu Belle. She really needed a new one after our other fur baby, Zia, ate hers. Just look at those eyes, who can say no?
We had some knotty pine shiplap lying around which we used to make the bed frame. Don't you just love shiplap, it's soooo easy to work with.
Add a pool noodle and some spray paint and you have a bed fit for a puppy princess.
Or a kitty prince.......
Unfortunately Lulu's bed has been taken over by Merlin so we're going to have to make another one. Fortunately it was one of the easiest DIY's we've ever made so that shouldn't be a problem :-) Full tutorial and more pics on the blog.

Well I thing a bed per animal would be great, but in doggy and kitty kingdom they seem to like the other ones bed better lol
Nice project, good outcome, nice pet parent.

That's so true Carolyn. Our purr babies and fur babies are always cuddling up together or stealing each others beds

Love this! And it's Merlin approved. LOL Such an adorable shot of the cat take-over. :)

What is shiplap? What a clever project!
I do like the idea but I would cover the noodles with cloth to make it look a lot better.
Won’t the pool noodles melt from the paint? I do like the above comment on wrapping them with fabric though!
