Unwanted feral cats

Some organizations neuter the feral cats to control the population. If the ferel cats have been neutered and relocated, one of their ears will have the tip cut. This is how they identify those cats that have been neutered.Helpful Reply

Personally I'm a dog person, and would not mind so much if these cats were euthanized. The Spaying and neutering does nothing to prevent them from hunting and killing more birds. The above program is better than nothing and will reduce the breeding population. What you need is a 12 year old boy with a sling shot...a non-lethal deterrent.Helpful Reply

Becky P on May 27, 2013@KMS Woodworks, I used to think there was nothing better than a dead cat, until my daughter moved back home with a cat. That cat is now my baby and I would much rather have a cat now than a dog. (we lost the lab 2 years ago, at age 17)Helpful Reply

Pam Park on May 27, 2013What about loading a powerful "water pistol" [ like from KMART or Walmart] with vinegar +water and have it at the ready??? I was able to train my cat not to climb or claw the window screen, maybe the nasty vinegar will discourage them! OR - a neighbor put down chicken wire where cats were scratching in the dirt under her family room windows -- helped some.Helpful Reply
