Garage Sale Find Becomes Patio Treasure

When I saw this at a garage sale I immediately had a vision of what it would become once I got it in my shop. It was really ugly and the $5.00 price tag was a lil steep, but my vision was worth that and more.
I first removed the two trays and then the wheels. I cut two boards that would support tile and grout and that I would be able to attach trim to all sides for the depth of tiles. Was also able to sand all the scratches out of the wheels with a very fine sandpaper. I then spray painted the cart with a rustoleum spray paint.
I had some mosaic tiles left over from another project but not enough to do both trays. So I came up with a plan b on a very low budget. The purple and yellow are plates I bought at the 99 cent store. I broke them with a hammer and started gluing them in place with tile glue.
The center tiles were also left from other projects so I painted some flowers and a Hummingbird. After gluing everything in place I added grout, gave it plenty of drying time.
Makes a wonderful serving cart on my patio!
