I don't have a hose in my backyard and it is too expensive to add a hookup.

Use a straw, pour water through it, then you can wash it off.⛳️😊
Use a Hose connector and put it on your inside tap!
Watering Cans or Milk Bottles filled with water. Do you OR MAYBE YOU COULD HAVE A RAINWATER TANK or maybe you could install one to catch the rain from the roof etc.
Run a hose from your bathroom sink to the back yard. A connector should do the trick. It is not hard to put a hose bib on the back of the house. You connect it to the water line. I had this done several years ago, cost was abou $150 and it is one of the best improvements I needed for my back yard.
Hi Dianne, even if you gather water in a rain barrel (or two) you'll still likely need a hose to distribute the water onto your garden and to clean the deck. I'd just buy a really long hose (or maybe two shorter ones) that will reach from the garage connection to the area where you need to water. That will be less expensive but more time consuming than having a hose bib installed. You won't have very much water pressure when using a hose from a rain barrel.
You can find rain barrels at Amazon, Lowes, Home Depot. We bought ours through the county. One tip if you live in an area that freezes in the winter, remove all water from the rain barrel because they can crack from the ice formation inside.
