How to Add Drama to Your Boring Windows
by

My husband and I have been living with plain white blinds in our master bedroom and were ready to add some drama to the windows.
We started with some cool plumbing pipe and fittings for the curtain rod. We used an aging process which involved toilet bowl cleaner, a blow torch, and beeswax along with a couple other ingredients.
To achieve a high end look on the curtains without the added cost, we bought white curtains from IKEA and painted navy stripes on them with flat latex paint.
The window treatment has added lots of character and drama to our otherwise boring window and has propelled us to complete the rest of our room!

Joyce Overbay on May 19, 2015You could have also bought a long pole (length you needed) and stained and purchased the ends done or undone for stain or paint when have been just as cheap as buying the other stuff to do it without. Just saying I have done that .ots of tines for long windows where it is hard to find rods that come that length. I e in the living room are on a smaller than they need be so the hang in the floor. Need to exchange the rod out.
