Garage door panels, Painter.

I have a 16' wooden garage door and need to replace two panels after 19 years of good service. One has a bought eight glass panels and one has wooden panels. They will be delivered to me and ready to paint. Should I caulk the panels before I put on primer and two coats of exterior semi gloss paint? Afterwards the installer will come back to install them and replace the old ones. I'm not sure if they come primed or bare wood.

Yes you should caulk the panels once in place then prime. The paint will help preserve the caulking you install. I would however wait before you do the last coat of finish until the doors are installed as they may get scratched and need touch up after. The final coat should not take that long to do once installed.
