Repurposing Water Bottles

In preparation for Earth Day coming up we worked on a few fun repurposing activities using water bottles.
We visited a recycling plant recently to see how an empty water bottle turned into a new one and it was fascinating so we thought of a few ideas, this one being our favorite.
If you choose to reuse and refill your water bottles that is great but you can also use them to make a planter like this too!
You just need a piece of twine and some dirt and seeds or a small plant that has already bloomed a bit like this one we found (hearty so the kids wouldn't kill it quite as quickly) lol. It is like an experiment too as the twine waters the plant!! 7 more water bottle repurposing activities on The Typical Mom, link below.
