The Progression of Our Kitchen

I recently showed you our kitchen as it looks today. But it has gone through several changes over the last couples of years!
This is how our kitchen looked when we bought our house and for several years after. I primed and painted all the cabinet bases and we bought new custom made , solid ash, cabinet doors and drawer fronts.
I then painted everything Sherwin Williams Alabaster in a semi-gloss. But it didn't take long before I began to feel like this was a little too farmhouse and not enough French Country. So we added some details...
We added X's and bun feet to our cabinets and some corbels to our built in china cabinet and the shelf above our stove. I then repainted everything in Sherwin Williams Sand in a satin finish. We also purchased a new stainless gas range and refrigerator.
Except for one section of our island, which I painted SW Rain.
Because our kitchen is open to our whole main floor, it has transformed the living room, dining room and family room.
We still have one more thing we'd like to do - replace the bead board back splash with travertine tile.
Come visit the blog to find out what's happening next!

Charles Mary Ash on May 28, 2016Those aren't the same cupboard doors though right. In you before pic the doors look like they are slats going across and in the after pic the doors are smooth. Just wondering if you changed the doors. Beautiful though.
