Ardi Redig Johnson on Apr 16, 2016I have lantana in my landscape in Surprise, Arizona; I cut them way back down to the ground.... in the winter and they looked like dead sticks..... and now they are already grown full and blooming but that is because I am in Arizona that I can do that.Helpful Reply

Shaza Lee on Apr 16, 2016cut off the actual "dead" part of the stems from last year. start by cutting off an inch or two.. look at the center.. is it green? if it is all brown it is dead. a greenish center it is alive. so keep cutting until you come to the portion that is still green and let that grow.Helpful Reply

Helen Hronas on Apr 16, 2016Honeysuckle is very invasive and will soon cover and smother your azaleas. You'll have to pick it out gently from between the limbs of the azalea and dig up the roots as much as possible. It will come back and you have to keep pulling and digging it up to get rid of it completely.Helpful Reply

Kristie on Apr 17, 2016I am in Georgia. I have Ms. Huff lantana that comes back annually; however, they are often the last plants to show signs of growth in the spring. Once they start they grow very quickly. I leave the dead growth from the previous year (so I will know where the plants are!) and remove the dead stalks as soon as I see new growth popping out (being careful not to disturb the new growth.)Helpful Reply

GrammyinVA on Apr 18, 2016Memphis is in Hardiness zone 7a or 7B. It's possible that your Lantana will return so be patient. I live in Northern VA (6B but has acted like 7a after a mild winter) This past winter, along with the late freezes, was rough on those plants that usually sail through without any problem.Helpful Reply

Kathud54 on Apr 18, 2016If they are in pots they might not come back. If they do they will come back from the roots, trim back the dead branches.Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on May 13, 2016Kristie is right. I only have one plant, so I know where it is. I cut the dead branches during the winter. Mine is emerging now. When I have planted lantana in pots they have not done too well. The one I have now is in the groundHelpful Reply
