But if the track lighting on the floor is always illuminated, how will you know if there's an emergency. Maybe I've been in too many airplanes. I've never seen this kind of lighting. Pretty neat. -
ummm, its not on the floor, its outside. The lighting is on a photo cell, so it is not on during the day. Why would anyone think there is an emergency to see lights on. This type of landscape lighting started out in Mexico about 8 or 9 years ago. People were using it when concrete curbing was used around flowers/tree/shrubs etc.. Time to get off planes and come back down to earth! -
Looks like a great way to bring just the right amount of light to a pathway. -
Sorry. Dumb joke. I really like the lighting. I was just playing because it made me think of the lighting along the aisles in airplanes. -
I must have the same sense of humor (or lack of?), Steve, 'cause I got it. :) -
Guess you guys don't go do many movies, lol :-) -
Oh great after reading these posts now I have the movie Airplane in my head. Gotta figure out how to post jive. -
Buy rope lights and link them together, we used them to light our driveway. You could put them around the edges if you don't want the runway look. -
These lights are fine with me. they are more economical to use than your rope lights as they only use a very minute amount of electricity, plus they are on a photocell. I enlarged the photo to show the lights, the walkway is only about 8 ft long, it doesn't look like a runway. I'd rather have the lights than bust my behind trying to walk at night. -
Debi, I love the idea- we just get a little jokey around here. :) -
Debi, sorry I was being silly. I really like the walkway. I think it's a great idea and looks really nice. -
Here is the completed project, which shows the outline of the courtyard and walkway. Hopefully you will now see it isn't a "runway" -
