What do you do after the bulbs are finished? Save, leave, redo the garden, leave it plain for the rest of the summer?

I save all of my broken pottery, windows and mirrors. Whenever I am able to, I get an old bowling ball and randomly place pieces around it until it is completely covered. After a simple coat of grout, I place my ball wherever I like. It allows me to add color to any dark area at the same time, saving bits of my favorite dishes. I make stepping stones using a square baking pan out of the same material. Viola!
