This month's FabFlippinFurnitureContest was so much fun! Sponsored by Pure & Original Paint Company, who provided each contestant with 2 quarts of their fabulous Classico Matte Paint! I was inspired by a roll of vintage coastal wallpaper with coral and aqua- harking back to the 70's!
This is the after, using Pure and Original Paints in Clear Amber, Lipstick, Nautique and White. I mixed them all up to match the wallpaper colors!
This is the before: dark green, with hand-painted designs in a thick white paint that required sanding because they were raised.
This is the wallpaper- so whimsical, right!? For the full tutorial, please visit my blog at http://countrydesignhome.com/2016/04/21/kitschy-coral-coastal-cupboard/
I used the White, Clear Amber and Lipstick colors to create the coral that matches the design in the paper.
That's a lotta color! So much fun to get away from gray and more gray.
For the doors, I glued wallpaper panels to the fronts and then added some painted and glazed trim for a frame effect. For the full details, please visit my blog at http://countrydesignhome.com/2016/04/21/kitschy-coral-coastal-cupboard/
