Vintage Artefacts Dresser painted in high gloss White Dove
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share one of my favorite furniture finds of all time. I bought this vintage Henredon Artefacts Dresser dresser from an estate sale, and I knew immediately that I wanted to make it super glossy! I used Fine Paints of Europe Hollandlac Brilliant mixed in White Dove (color by Benjamin Moore) to make this piece shine like a diamond!
To begin, I removed the hardware then sanded the entire dresser.
Then, I sprayed it with Sherwin Williams oil ProBlock primer and sanded again after it was fully dried.
Next, I sprayed two coats (wating 48 hours in between coats to allow dry time) of Fine Paints of Europe Hollandlac Brilliant mixed in Benjamin Moore's White Dove.
I used Bar Keeper's Friend to polish the original brass hardware
Finally, after the paint had 48 hours to cure, I reassembled the dresser and staged it for these beautiful photos taken by my friend, Lacy Tomlinson.
I just LOVE glossy paint on campaign furniture! More details and photos can be seen on my blog

Have a question about this project?
Beautiful ! I have a Four Poster Bed and dresser from Baker Furniture and I am so over the Cherry but feel bad painting. I was thinking about painting white for my granddaughters room. What are your thoughts on painting such “good” furniture?
