nicely done...you have a green thumb for sure -
The mason jar is my favorite :) I really like this idea. Thank you for sharing! -
what soil mix are you using in those? I love the variety of textures that succulents have to offer. -
I used Miracle-Gro Cactus, Palm & Citrus Soil. -
how often do they require water? -
What plants did you use? I live in New England, but I would LOVE to try this! Do you think it would work? -
A surprising number of succulents are hardy in New England, Nyomi. Take a trip to a good local garden center and see what they have. -
Love this! I found a beautiful jar at a yardsale last summer....now I know what I'll do with it. Thanks for the post. -
Will be doing this when we move to Florida, for sure! (Another reason I hope our present house sells, so we can go south! hehe!) -
estan preciosas esas plantas, a mi me gustan cantidad las flores de marmol com le decimos nosotros. -
@Four Season Nursery & Landscaping I usually give them a deep watering about once a week. -
do you have drainage in the containers? -
Thank you for the inspiration, mine is coming up. I have this big round vase with a small opening on top, always wondered what to do with it. Now I know!! -
This is so inspiring. I've been making succulent gardens in containers for out side. Think I'll try for inside. thanks. How much light do they need? -
@Four Season Nursery & Landscaping The rocks at the bottom assist with drainage as there are no drainage holes in the vase. -
@Carol M I keep mine near a sunny window, but they get mostly indirect light. I would recommend following the guidance provided on the plants you choose to use. -
Thanks so much for posting this! I'm always finding unique vases and jars at garage sales and at the town dumps swap shop. Now I can pick them up and do something with them! My husband want plants in our house but were worried about toxicity with our cats. With these being INSIDE vases, we don't have to worry about them chewing on any leaves! Thanks so much! -
I bought some clearance sedum adolphili( the star shaped succulents in your pic) in sad shape with no root attachment. I've got a beautiful jar and want to make my first terrarium. What will make them happy? I have a cactus and other kalanchoe I want to use if they will make good partners. -
enjoyed your succulent garden
