Duraceramic

So, anyone have any experience with Duraceramic floors? I have read a bunch of reviews and it seems you either hate them or love them. Makes me a little nervous to choose them but I like the look and feel of them. It is for a kids bathroom and it is not a very large floor. Seems like a reasonable choice. I would choose tile but trying to go an easier route of not having to redo the sub floor that is would. Anyway, your thoughts are appreciated.

Angel, over 20 years ago I bought flooring & even though there were few colors I selected Polished Porcelain (NOT glazed). Today I love my floors since I haven't had to replace them and my floors are in beautiful condition. I really wanted marble but decided that to enjoy the house and not worry about scratching, dropping something bad on it, the marble would be a poor choice. I don't want to live for the look.

Actual tile is not an option. We are diy and my fil is helping. He is the one doing most of the work and I'm trying not to push my luck. he does not want to have to put down the self leveling cement or whatever goes under tile. I don't blame him either. I am saving all the things I really want for the master bath. :) I do want tile in our bath but for the kids bath it will either be duraceramic or linoleum.

Tile is the best...period. But a decent low cost alternative could be a vinyl plank floor. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-203206525/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=traffic+amster+allure&storeId=10051 This product comes in "wood" types as well as "tile" type. I have installed bunches of this stuff. It is very DIY friendly.
