    Definite improvement. I like the new hardware. Looks like you got a good deal on that stuff.

    A nice new look. Are you leaving the feet off, or putting on some more in keeping with the new style?

    I think you did a great job. I'd add some little ball feet to finish--but that's just me :-)

    I'd leave the feet off. Less dust to worry about :-)

    I wasn't going to use the old feet because it just doesn't go with the style...

    And had totally planned on adding feet later...but then it didn't happen right away and my friends told me it looks fine the way it is. Let me know your honest opinion though! Does it look silly without them?

    @Mary - I sanded it first.

    I think there should be some sort of feet. It looks a little odd having opening doors level with the floor.

    I like the new styling. I think I'd add some feet to it, though. Maybe even just attach some pieces of 4x4 (cut to whatever height the original feet were) and paint & distress to match the rest of the cabinet.

    Was this real wood? I just did something like this to my TV stand but the paint keeps chipping away.. Any ideas? Thanks! It looks great btw!

    Angaleen - Thanks! And no, it was definitely not real wood. Not sure what I did but it did not chip! I sanded before I painted, which probably helps. I explain a little more on my blog post listed too. Hope that help a little!!
