Painted Upholstered Chair

I have 2 of these chairs that were given to me. They are an excellent brand and extremely well-built! I got them for our family with 2 boys (and their friends) free from an old neighbor with 3 kids ( and their friends) who got them from his sister with 2 kids ...... You get the picture.
This is 1 of the 2 chairs, this one is actually in better condition than the other one. You can see the wear spots on the arms and stains all over. I actually sewed up a rip as best I could.
I wish I would have thinned the paint out on this 1st coat but I ended up spraying the chair with water instead and it took 2 days to dry!
The fabric is really stiff now and I'm beginning to worry. Loving the denim look tho!!!
120 grit sandpaper block . It felt like "real" fabric! I was so happy.....but it "bled" ....
Wax! Yup! Paste wax....

Tammy M on Aug 21, 2016If you use watered down annie sloan chalk paint, youare basically dying the fabric. Wet the fabric with a spray bottle, paint, sand, paint, sand, wax with annie sloan clear wax to seal. How many coats you need will depend on the color of the fabric and the color you are covering it with.
