DIY Curio Turned Storage Cabinet

Do you have an old curio cabinet you were thinking of throwing out? You may just want to rethink that when you see what I did with this one.
I picked this curio up at the DI, a local thrift store. The price had been marked down a few times making it the perfect project piece. This curio cabinet is made out of cherry wood and the frame is in such great shape. The glass and mirrors were all in tact....until I got to them. Sometimes taking a hammer to glass is a great stress reliever...he he. Ready to see the after?

Here is the after! These curios always have such great transformations!
I added bead board where the glass used to be and painted everything the same color. You can read about the paint on my blog
Now for the inside, I painted the back white for some contrast and I added a white shelf in the middle for added storage.
