Fireplace Makeover!

We were so happy to have a house AND a fireplace, but now we have a fireplace we love...and one that is a beautiful focal point in our family room. It was super easy to makeover, but the results are stunning!
We began this makeover, by chill painting the outdated gray tile surround. Chalk paint will adhere to anything w/o prep work...even tile!
Then we used a heat resistant spray paint to update the ugly brass trim of the fireplace.
Next we headed to Home Depot and bought some interlocking planked boards and finish trim.
Then we went home, measured and began installing the cut planks. There were a lot of nail holes to cover!
Then we gave the installed planks and trim a heavy sanding before painting the whole thing!
That's is! We're so happy with the results, and honestly it was only a weekend project. We both wish we had tackles it years earlier, but we're still in love with the results!
