Do you walk by items like this at garage sales and thrift shops? Dated decor can become inexpensive home decor with paint and Old Sign Stencils.
This burgundy primitive country Christmas sign was marked 75 cents at a local garage sale last Saturday. I saw it had some possibilities.
First I painted the sign with two coats of chalk paint and distressed it with sandpaper.
Next I stenciled on the word "Coffee" from the National Brewers Co. Coffee Roasters stencil from Old Sign Stencils & Funky Junk Interiors.
I sanded the lettering a bit and then sealed the sign to protect it and deepen the paint color.
Farmhouse style coffee decor on a budget. Complete instructions for this project can be found on my blog.
