If you are a golfer or have one in your family, you have a similar situation that we have. A stash of used golf balls! As the temperatures warmed up, so did the growing stash of used golf balls! I decided to use a few in this quick and easy Patriotic project.
Last weekend my husband brought home, yet another box of used golf balls. You can see they tend to get a little dirty and scuffed up. So before I painted them, I did a quick wash with plain dish soap and a scrubbie.
Using star stickers, I randomly applied stickers to some of the balls being careful not to place a sticker over any printed words or logos on the balls.
You can see a cardboard egg carton in the above picture. I found this was perfect to use for spray painting the balls. I used a dark blue spray paint to paint these. It was easy to rotate them once the paint had dried to get to the other side.
Once the paint was dry. I removed the star stickers from the blue golf balls.
I found a cute little rustic wire basket to put the painted golf balls in.
We are sharing several Patriotic crafts on the blog this month, we invite you to stop by and check them out.
