Douglas Hunt on Jun 12, 2013Are the berries white? I don't think the leaf is right for a serviceberry. It looks like a Gray's dogwood to me (Cornus racemosa). If the bark turns red in the winter it is likely Cornus sericea.Helpful Reply

Peg on Jun 12, 2013to my knowledge, service berry tree flowers have 5 petals, not 4 right? I think Doug hit it on the head with the "Gray's dogwood", looks like the exact 4 petal flower with large stamens. Also, the drooping leaves are an indication of Gray's dogwood and many other dog woods trees.Helpful Reply
