Salvaging a Table Top

This happens to me a lot. I find a piece of furniture at a GREAT price but the top is a wreck. So I figured out a way to work around that. I could refinish or paint the tops of badly damaged tops but to me this is WAY cooler

This drum table had a lot of veneer damage that I really didn't want to tackle so I decided to do something I been wanting to try for a long time.
