how much is to much to make your furniture look vintage in your home?

I have made a buffet and made it look a litte distressed ..vintage and it sets in my greatroom I have now made a faux fireplace black..the question is would it be to much to make it look vintage as well?

Regina Towers on Nov 21, 2015I struggle with the same question. Just my opinion, but I think that with the exception of a bedroom or bathroom, some wood tones warm things up and give a cozy feel. The other thing is color. Again, just my opinion, but I don't want a white dining table with a green server, blue chairs etc....just a little too disconnected (for me).
