I love the shape and it was time to kick them up a notch
This was a pair of twin headboards I had. I painted them purple and gold and later had them monogrammed. I used them as window toppers. Then, I decided I wanted to use them as cornice boards.
Using extra wood, we carved a shape to extend the width of the headboards to meet the window width. Using wood glue and clamps, glued the extensions on and attached the entire frame to another piece of wood to sustain the frame.
After the frame is dried and solid, the panels were attached by velcro.
The new cornice boards are complete and add a bit more elegance to the windows
Panels were made with pleats and were easy to attach
