I had seen a similar project on hometalk, which inspired me to try this with pallet wood. I tried to simulate the dog eared fence post using the chop saw and a drill bit for the notches. This project takes about 1 full pallet (top ). I wanted to add a bit of color and saw these cute little bird laser cutouts at Michaels, so I painted the bird a color to compliment my house color and a simple stencil pattern on the box. I made the planter box part of the fence, vs the shelf on the inspiration piece. Simple whitewash and it was complete. Happy with this project. This is why I LOVE hometalk, for the inspiration and the ability to make it my own!
Enjoyed the project?
