Weird corner space in kitchen
This leaves a 11" deep ,24 " wide space on the second jag. SO... do I extend the counter all the way to the fridge with a mini shelf /cabinet underneath ? Use a different top maybe butcher block for the small portion ? Can not enclosed the whole thing without moving all the heating ducts (top of the wall section ).

Donna on May 22, 2016My answer won't be very helpful because am in process of remodeling mine to look like yours! Love, love the 'old' country kitchens. Yours is to die for in "my opinion". That old stove, I would love AND use.Helpful Reply

Dhall on May 22, 2016I would consider using the space of the heating vent/cold air return, whatever that is, to hang often used or decorative pots or utensils on pegboard or with a metal hanging system from Ikea.Helpful Reply

Cindy Hagemann on May 22, 2016Go to Home Depot, with all of your measurements and have them lay out your kitchen in their computer. Even if you don't purchase from them, they can do this for you - they will utilize every inch of your kitchen!Helpful Reply

Kim on May 22, 2016Could you paint or cover the pipe in some sort of funky color so it looks more intentional? Then add some horizontal artwork, maybe some rustic metal piece that would coordinate with the new finish on pipe?Helpful Reply

Gina on May 23, 2016How about open display shelves and the perfect spot for a good-sized trash can beneath? If you're left-handed, you could add a pull out butcher block (or other surface) cutting board at the end. You could also use it when you take items out of the oven, so everyone would know that if a dish is there, it's hot.Helpful Reply
