Butcher Block

Here is a close-up of a banded-pattern end grain, butcher block. This is a combination of maple, walnut and cherry wood species.

    Nice work, the maple will hold up well in the "work zone" and the other woods add some nice color and variation...maple all by it self is kind of boring

    Yea, we love doing banded edges like this, KMS. We get a lot of interest in maple (specifically edge grain). For the price you can't beat it, but I agree, it def looks nice when you pair it up with a richer grain.
