Chalk Painted Porch Pillows (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint)

Easy
So if you watched the video I was a part of recently you will remember I talked about the pillows I painted with ASCP. Well, I've written a post about it and the process I used to paint and finish them. Hint: It was super easy. ;)
Pillows "before" the paint. I made sure to wipe them down well with a wet cloth to remove any dirt or debris before painting.
I used Duck Egg Blue mixed with a little Pure White to lighten the shade a bit. The coverage was fantastic and I only needed ONE coat of paint. DETAILS on the exact "HOW-TO" is in the blog post linked below.

Hi, I've now seen many pins of sofas/settees/chairs/cushions in fabric being painted. I am a bit confused and a few questions always pop up in my mind. How does it feel to sit on painted fabric? Doesn't the paint (diluted with water) seep into the stuffing? Could one also paint a mattress? Doesn't the paint come off by warmer weather? South Africa has very warm weather and a person can't help but sweat. I would love to try painting fabric but am too scared of getting my and my friends' clothes come off with paint.

Hello! Will the pillows hold up with just paint and no wax outside in the direct sun and weather? It is warm here in NC

What type of brush do you recommend when painting fabric (outdoor or indoor)? Also, how much do you dilute the paint so that you’re applying a thin coat?
