My neighbor has a plant that is older than mine, yet smaller, and I've yet to see blooms on it. It's in full shade! Mine are in the sun, next to porch, and they get bigger and bigger every year with a fair amount of blooms. Plenty of water seems to keep them pretty happy.

Here again, the ph makes a difference in the color. Acie, (coffed grounds, etc) that you would use on tomatoes make BLUE to purple blooms.
