Coral Bells Are Easy to Grow and Great for Shade Gardens

I have a north facing bed on the front of my house that gets very little sunlight. Growing plants in this bed can be a challenge at best.
Coral bells (Heuchera) is one plant that does very well there. The trick for shade gardens is to just remember the conditions and choose plants carefully for the spot.
I love the leaves of this particular variety. They look green in my photo but that is because I took this picture when the plant first started growing this spring. The leaves are now a lovely purple brown and the plant has tall flower stalk growing too.
Coral bells are easy to grow. Give it shade or filtered light. Keep the soil evenly moist, and divide it every few years to keep the crown vigorous and you are set.
