Debbie Stanley on Jun 28, 2013Thanks, I was looking for something rather low and to fit on top of my tile top table. this will be perfect. Can't wait to make one. I have some black river stones left over from a wedding. It will look really good against my green tile tabletop.

I think your decoration is 'magic'. You could keep the runner, which I really like, and perhaps to save stains? on the table just in case there might be moisture on the pebbles, put the pebbles in an elongated - low-edged container. So they don't get accidentally knocked off the table. And go up your vacuum cleaner. In saying that, I have 3 indoor pussycats, and one outdoor one, who comes home in the early evening to go to 'bed'. But the 3 indoor cats would just so love this decoration. I can just imagine the pebbles being 'strewn' over the floor. Good Job! The image below is just one of the messes that the 3 p. cats have made. The first is when I purchased a 'real' Christmas tree, several years ago, and really, I should have known better, but I left the kitchen, (and yes the below left, is a kitchen bench), for a nano second, and this is what I came back to. That is why I can't have indoor plants/vases of flowers, or lovely natural decorations inside. The other photo is of a palm tree in the small dining room - which lasted about a minute before the 'gardeners' arrived. Obviously the palm tree, and soil were deposited outside. So no more. They did a good job, didn't they?? Still - all good fun. Would love to see more of your lovely decorating ideas. Just so long as it's not paddle pop sticks on the wall as an inspiration. xo
