with a little creativity, a nail gun, old fencing and paint I was able to create my potting bench using what I had on hand. You can read about the details at: http://shelstringblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/b...
Love this idea for a potting bench Michelle. I've often thought about it but am well past having a baby change table in the house! I'm planning on upcycling an old wooden barbeque frame into a potting bench using a similar design. It already has timber slats either end at waist height and a shelf at the bottom. It just needs a shelf to fill in the gap where the BBQ was and a backboard.
Steve G.- no, my baby isn't potty trained, but as you can see on my blog, there was always too much stuff on it to put a baby there! We just change her on the bed or floor now. She is almost old enough to potty train at this point ;)
Anne G- I would love to see it when you complete it! Great idea!!
oh my goodness my mom just bought this same changing table and had the same idea...of coarse she hasn't done anything to it yet.... I have to share this with her! This looks great!
