Jammie Gremillion on Jun 24, 2013There is a product that you can find at Walmart and Lowes called Krud Kutter. It works very well on grease. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply

Jeanne Tatro on Jun 24, 2013I had an accident cleaning my Dad's kitchen cabinets. I used oven cleaner on the hood and some got on the cabinets. 1 inch (I kid you not) of nasty grease melted off. It also took off the varnish. Lesson learned what not to do. I did take down all the cabinets and refinished them. They were sold maple and worth saving. On my own cabinets I used orange cleaner spray (generic) . I sprayed it on my oak cabinets, I wore rubber gloves and microwaved a wet sponge 1 minute then wiped top to bottom. The steam took of all the grease. I think the secret is the steamed sponge. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Rosalie M on Jun 24, 2013Hi Jean, I have just gone through this trying every suggestion the followers were kind enough to pass on. None worked. Until Dianne of Millington, TN suggested using WD40. Now, who would have thought. It worked. My cabinets are also wood, but I tried everything anyway out of desperation. I bought VIVA paper towels because they are so soft. Sprayed the WD40 on to the towel and wiped the grease right off my cabinets. They look new again. I also bought "Krud Kutter" as Jaime suggested. It worked on my stove, but I haven't tried it on the cabinets. Good Luck, Jean. I hope this can save you the time I wasted to get to this point.Helpful Reply
