Living Room...almost finished.

The latest in our house remodel. Living room is almost finished...just a few baseboards to install. We moved walls, retextured, painted (19' ceilings and walls), new flooring, furnishings, rugs, etc., all for under $4000, including the furniture, accomplished by bargain shopping, garage sales, estate sales, auctions, craig's list, and doing the work ourselves.

I always forget to put the "after" picture up first. The cover photos are all "befores"!

Nice work. Very impressive, and hard to believe that was your budget.

Thanks, Miriam and Steve. We still have the entry to complete. We're in the process of putting tile down there. I didn't count accessories because we already had those. A new dining table is forthcoming when we finish the entry & powder room so the table is a cheap temp thing. I think I'll post a pic of the finished room with price tags on everything. We pride ourselves in our bargain shopping skills...you don't have to spend a fortune to make a room something you love.

Thanks, all. We used the 2011 HGTV "Green Home" as our inspiration for the color scheme. http://search.babylon.com/imageres.php?iu=h...
