Old Store Pool House

My husband and I decided to add a pool house last year. I have always wanted a pool house that looked like a old store. My husband wasn't so sure but we got together and drew up some plans and this is what we came up with. It took about 6 months to complete (due to many rain delays) and a mishap with the siding. We also needed a storm shelter so we had one installed and built the pool house over it. We have not came up with a name for our store front but we are working on it. We are still adding on and making improvements but we have really enjoyed it this summer so far.
We added a misting system under the porch. We also added to the back another room for pool supplies and a little covered patio for the grill. We have really enjoyed this...still a work in progress...but worth it.
This is our storm shelter that we had installed before we built the poolhouse over it.
This is my husband Mark framing up the poolhouse
almost framed...
my husband and son and a friend putting up store front.
Store front sign done except for the wording which we are still working on I painted the sidng with a 3 stage technique. (trying to make it look like barnwood).
This is the 1/2 bath (shower will be outside) and where we enter the storm shelter. At this point we started wiring and stuff. We installed the spetic tank when we installed the storm shelter.
screen doors in. We used rough cut lumber on the inside and out.
this is the kitchen. we still have some decorating to do but i love it.
