Pam on May 17, 2012Walter, Is it too hot to grow clematis in Louisiana? I have always loved them but they seem to like a cooler climate. Plus, I have never seen them for sale at any garden centers around here.Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on May 18, 2012Pam, possibly try one of the Clematis texensis cultivars like "Duchess of Albany" or "Gravetye Beauty." Because that variety is native to Texas it should take the heat better.Helpful Reply
