Unique Bridesmaid Bouquets I Came up With for My Daughter's Wedding

My daughter wanted a tea party wedding with very detailed and specific items. This was my favorite of the items I came up with. She had four bridesmaids, so I created four teacup bouquets all in different pastels. I wasn't happy with the way they were carried down the aisle so I brainstormed and came up with the saucer and cup attached to a handle , which we all loved.
You start off with a cup old, new or any style. I glued a similar sized half of a styrofoam ball in the cup. The options are endless when it comes to the flowers . I made fabric flowers for my daughter's bouquet but they were too big for the smaller cups . I wanted them to be very dainty, so I chose tiny silk flowers and added pearls in the middles. You can glue the moss first or add it around the edges after securing the flowers. I removed the stems and glued the flowers to the styrofoam ball. I came back and added the butterflies and the pearl trim around the edges.
Next, I spray painted a wooden handle I found in the craft dept. It was found with the wooden candlesticks. It needs to be flat on one end. I was lucky enough to find one but if you are comfortable with power tools you could probably make most anything work. (Don't spray the flat end, it needs to stick well to the saucer) I found this out the hard way.
The next step is to attach the cup to the saucer. I wiped the areas down with alcohol first . Let dry , then with E600 attach the two being careful not to let the glue show. You can attach the spoon and pearl at this time also if you like.
Let it dry at least overnight. The final step is to add the handle again with E600. This was the only hard part , and only because you have to find an open object to place the cup upside down making sure it was level so the handle can be attached and left to dry for a day or so undisturbed . I happened to find a glass cylinder that worked out well. You could reverse the process and add the handle first but would still have to use something to hold it up while attaching the cup. I did the way I did because the handle was an after thought.
When dry you may decide it needs something extra so it's easy to tweak them at this point. My daughter was happy with them and they were easy for the girls to carry and I must say I was happy with the way they turned out as well.
Suggested materials:
